MRI, Radiology and Physiotherapy Unit at Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es salaam. 2002 – 2005

The first MRI machine in Tanzania was inserted in the old building of the Hospital despite the existing floor to ceiling height of 2.8m clear (at least 5 to 6m required). Natural light was maximised for patient and staff well being, and the furniture and lighting was designed to create a relaxed environment.

The stores were cleared in the facing wing to form the Physiotherapy Unit with demountable purpose made partitions in accordance with the brief.
